Outreach program helping those in need reach out

The Charlotte Rescue Mission this Easter Sunday is giving those who come in an opportunity to reach out to friends and family.

The Mission along with Cricket Communications are providing guests the use of a cell phone to call those closest to them this Holiday.

About 9 cell phones will be available to guests to use as many times as they want, while movies are being shown in the chapel and Easter dinner is served in the dining hall.

"These cell phones are a great way for guests to get in touch with family and friends on Easter," says Rev. Tony Marciano, Executive Director of the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

The mission also provided the guests with free shoes through Samaritan's feet to give, they gave away 400 pairs of shoes Sunday between 6:15am and 10:00am.

The Charlotte Rescue mission provides a free 90-day Christian residential program for men and women who are addicted to drugs and/or alcohol and are predominantly homeless.
