CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Saturday evening in Harrisburg, NC neighbors in the Windsor Forest community gathered to remember the victims in Friday's shooting.

The vigil which was held at the community pool brought out a large number of people in the community who are trying to make sense over what happened.

The turnout did not surprise the Mayor of Harrisburg, Tim Hagler who was in attendance and was asked about the vigil," The community is a small knit community, a small town and were like family. So when one hurts, when one neighborhood hurts we all hurt."

The motive for the shooting is still not clear, however different theories have been tossed about from HOA disputes to the mental stability of the shooter, Anthony Hardy.

One neighbor told WBTV Saturday that one of the victims, Gary Stock was a friend of Hardy and would check in on him from time to time.

Hardy had lived in the neighborhood for a number of years but did live alone.
