Scott Chadwick has been relieved of his duties as head football coach at Marvin Ridge.
He spent 5 years at the Union County school and was 500 or better every year.
He won a conference championship back in 2009 and finished up with a 41-20 record.
Last season was the worst of his tenure when they went 6-6. In 2011, the Mavericks went 10-2.
Before coming to Marvin Ridge, Chadwick coached at schools in Georgia and Maryland. While in Maryland, he led 3 teams to state championship games winning the title in 2001.
WBTV talked to coach Chadwick today and he is proud of the work done while a MR. He and the coaching staff got the most out of the kids everyday in a place where the talent level wasn't the tops in the county.
Chadwick is the 3rd head football coach in the last 5 days to leave Union County. Mike Roark at Cuthbertson and Blair Hardin at Porter Ridge are the other 2.
