Road closures planned for Reds Opening Day Parade

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A number of road closures are planned for the annual Findlay Market Reds Opening Day Parade.

The parade begins at 12 p.m. on Monday, April 1st.

Beginning at 8 a.m., the following streets will be closed:

Race Street – between Liberty Street and McMicken Street
Elm Street - between Liberty Street and McMicken Street
Findlay Street - between Central Parkway and Vine Street
Elder Street - between Central Parkway and Vine Street
Green Street - between Vine Street and Logan Street
Henry Street - between Race Street and Dunlap Street
Dunlap Street - between Findlay Street and McMicken Street
Logan Street - between Liberty Street and Findlay Street

Beginning at 11:15 a.m., the following parade route and cross streets will be closed:

Race Street - between Fourth Street and Liberty Street
Fifth Street - between Elm Street and Sentinel Street
Liberty Street – between Central Parkway and Vine Street
15th Street - between Elm Street and Vine Street
14th Street - between Elm Street and Vine Street
13th - between Race Street and Vine Street
12th - between Elm Street and Vine Street
Central Parkway - between Elm Street and Vine Street
Court Street – between Elm Street and Vine Street
9th Street –between Elm Street and Vine Street
8th Street – between Elm Street and Vine Street
7th Street – between Elm Street and Vine Street
6th Street - between Elm Street and Vine Street
Vine Street – between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
Walnut Street – between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
Main Street - between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
Sycamore Street - between Fourth Street and Sixth Street
Broadway Street - between Fourth Street and Sixth Street

The game starts at 4:10 p.m. against the Los Angeles Angels.

The parade goes on, rain or shine, unless the game is canceled.

    Sports Illustrated reported Sunday that at least four former Carolina Panthers employees have received “significant” monetary settlements as a result of inappropriate workplace comments and conduct by owner Jerry Richardson.

    A truck crashed into a power pole Sunday afternoon in west Charlotte near a gas station. Officials say the truck crashed into a pole causing another pole to snap on Wilkinson Boulevard. The incident occurred around 12 p.m. near the QuikTrip gas station.
