We're a week or so into Spring now – a time of warmer temperatures, blossoming flowers, and personal renewal.
We breathe a sigh of relief that the chill of winter and the gloom of short, cloudy days have given way to outdoor activities and hope for the future.
This is also the week that many of us celebrate the Jewish Passover and Easter for Christians.
Jews and Christians alike remember that God freed the people of Israel from their Egyptian captors during the time of Moses.
And God spared the first-born of the Hebrew nation when they obediently followed His commands.
The "Angel of Death" passed over their homes, allowing their full families to leave Egypt and flee to "The Promised Land."
For Christians, this week brings the agony of remembering the death of Jesus Christ on the cross on Good Friday.
But it's replaced by the joy of celebrating His rising from the grave on Easter Sunday.
And with His resurrection comes the chance for eternal life for those who follow Him.
We recognize that all of our viewers may not share these particular beliefs…and certainly no offense is intended.
But many of you do heed the call of a "Higher Power."
Regardless of which group you fall into, we want to wish all of you peace, joy, and happiness in your lives.
May you find great hope and comfort this week and beyond.
