Powerball tickets worth $1 million sold in North and South Carolina

Good morning! It's Christine Nelson here. I'm not one of the winning Powerball ticket holders, but that's okay it was fun to dream. If you're just waking up to reality too, here is what is we are covering on WBTV News This Morning from 4:30-7:00 a.m. We're streaming live on the web right now if you have a smartphone, iPhone or computer nearby.

As I mentioned there was a winning $1 million dollar ticket sold in both North and South Carolina. And yes, someone did win it all in the huge Powerball drawing over the weekend. A ticket with all five numbers plus the Powerball number was sold in New Jersey. One person is going to get $338 million dollars!! There is a press conference happening this morning. We'll tell you the details officials say they are going to reveal to the public.

We're getting reaction from Charlotte Mecklenburg School on Governor Pat McCrory's new budget. The governor is urging lawmakers to leave things the way they are when it comes to building schools. Do local officials agree or disagree?

Plus, save Saturday delivery! That was the message from postal workers who protested over the weekend in Charlotte. We'll tell you what the president of the state's labor union says will be the devastating result if there is no mail delivered on Saturdays.

It's still pretty wet out there after a rainy weekend. Watch for your forecast and traffic updates every 10 minutes so you know what to expect before you leave for the day.

See you on the air. We're live now!

Christine
