CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Get ready for a damp and drizzly weekend, in addition to much cooler temperatures.
A batch of showers will move through the area early Saturday, followed by a break from the rain and even a few glimpses of sunshine for the afternoon.
Sunday's forecast starts with rain and ends with rain as the second wave of moisture moves in from the west. This will be the more potent of the two and some could see brief heavy downpours and even hear a few rumbles of thunder.
Our South Carolina counties could see up to two inches of rain in the next 48 hours.
To the north, a few wet flakes can't be ruled out in the High Country and even back into the Northern Piedmont counties.
