The U.S. Marshals Service – Western District of North Carolina's Violent Offender Task Force arrested John Claybourne in Charlotte Friday morning.
The arrest followed a multi-state and multi-agency investigation with the Eastern Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force and the Philadelphia Police Department.
U.S. Marshals and Mecklenburg County deputies made a traffic stop in the 5200 block of Rozzelles Ferry Road at about 7:20 a.m. Friday and arrested Claybourne.
Officials said Claybourne recently fled to Charlotte from Philadelphia to avoid arrest on outstanding robbery and homicide charges.
