Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers is pleased to announce the appointment of Ed Guevara to the Crime Stoppers Board.
Guevara is the director of Global Security for Chiquita Brands International and as such, has responsibility for the safety and welfare for 21,000 employees and assets worth billions of dollars around the globe.
Ed is retired from the FBI after serving 25 years in a variety of positions and posts culminating his law enforcement career as a member the Senior Executive Service.
Crime Stoppers is also pleased to announce that Chiquita has honored Mr. Guevara's appointment by donating $5,000.00 to the general rewards fund of Charlotte Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers.
Crime Stoppers is an independent non-profit organization which was formed in 1994. It protects the identity of concerned citizens and rewards them for reporting information regarding a crime that leads to an arrest. Ed joins an independent board of directors formed to oversee management, program development and fundraising.
