Police in Kings Mountain say a man has died from a stab wound after he and another man where playing with knives.
Octavius Leon Thomas, 26, of Gastonia, was pronounced dead at Gaston Memorial Hospital after emergency crews found him lying unconscious in the front yard of a residence.
The incident was reported at 12:26 a.m. on the 1100 block of Groves Street, according to the release from the Kings Mountain Police Department.
Officers say Thomas and another man were horse playing with knives when Thomas received a fatal stab wound.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrest have been made.
