See, Click, Fix: Things looking up for low-hanging utility lines

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The anonymous viewer who posted the story writes: "....people do walk inches away from these wires. I am concerned that someone might be injured. Please have someone at least look...."

They're talking about the utility lines on Highway 160 and Hamilton Road in Charlotte. Sure enough if you follow these utility lines they are drooping all the way to the ground.

Our first step was to find out who these belong to. We called a few of our contacts at the electric company, cable and phone.

These lines belong to Windstream. The vice president of corporate communications in Arkansas emailed WBTV's Christine Nelson directly.

Within the day, he was able to get a local team in Charlotte to get these lines out of the way.

These are now hanging high in the air and out of the way away from anyone walking by.

You can now consider this problem fixed!
