The Kübler Group, a privately-held German manufacturer, announced Tuesday the opening of its first U.S. subsidiary, Kuebler Inc., in Charlotte at 5245-3 Old Dowd Road.
Kübler specializes in the manufacture of innovative position and motion sensors, counting and process technology, and transmission technology.
The new Charlotte operation strategically positions Kuebler to service the U.S. market from one central location. Kuebler is starting with a team of three employees and expects to hire more by the end of this year.
The company will continue hiring in 2014 as its business grows.
"Our holistic approach opens doors to long-term relationships with our customers — the trust that these valued customers place in us is the constant driver for our success," says Jonathen Karavolias.
Founded in 1960 by Fritz Kübler, the family business is now led by the next generation — his sons Gebhard and Lothar Kübler. Proof of the company's strong international focus lies in the fact that exports currently account for upwards of 60 percent of turnover, with eight international group members and distributors in more than 50 countries.
Kübler has grown particularly strongly over the past 10 years and now boasts a turnover in excess of $58 million (2012), with many major global customers. Customer focus, flexibility and know-how, which have been built up over decades, all form the basis for its broad and innovative range of products.
The Charlotte Chamber would like to thank the international accounting firm Rödl & Partner and the Charlotte Regional Partnership for assisting Kübler during its recent site selection process and with the establishment of Kuebler Inc.
