UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
A Union County man is facing felony charges in the death of a bicyclist, according to the North Carolina Highway Patrol.
The incident happened Saturday night on Unionville-Indian Trail Road near Danbrooke Drive.
Joshua Stone, 31, of Indian Trail, was riding a bicycle when he was hit and killed by a vehicle officials say was being driven by Jason Purell Orbison, 29, also of Indian Trail.
Orbison was arrested a short time later at his home. He was charged with Second Degree Murder due to the fact that he was impaired at the time of the crash, officials said.
