Officers arrested a man they said to consider "armed and dangerous".
The City of York Police Department issued two warrants for the arrest of 47-year-old Anthony Eugene Lord of Blackburn Street after a shooting Sunday.
That shooting put 32-year-old Demark Maurice Matthews in the hospital in critical condition.
Wednesday, a relative of Matthews was leaving the hospital and spotted Lord walking on South Tryon Street. The relative called Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.
Officers found Lord and arrested him. He was booked in the Mecklenburg County Jail on a fugitive warrant.
York Police have outstanding warrants for Lord on Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Attempted Murder.
