World's Most Famous Office Building Reinforces Cutting-Edge Security Protocol With Special Exercises
NEW YORK, March 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Empire State Building (ESB) will conduct a scheduled safety and security training session in partnership with the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) on Tuesday, March 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The custom exercises developed specifically for the iconic landmark will ensure ESB remains at the forefront of safety protocol and emergency response.
"We make the safety of our tenants, employees, and visitors from around the globe a top priority for the Empire State Building," said Anthony E. Malkin, President of Malkin Holdings which supervises the Empire State Building. "We have a close relationship with New York's Finest and Bravest, and we approached the FDNY to take our training off the table top and into the World's Most Famous Office Building. We ordinarily do not talk about training, but this will be visible and we want people to know it is not a real emergency."
