Officials: One airlifted after China Grove accident

CHINA GROVE, NC (WBTV) -

One person was airlifted after an accident near a China Grove high school.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. on Highway 152 at Kress Venture Drive, near the entrance to Jesse Carson High School.

WBTV's Sky 3 was over the scene where a sports car appeared to have struck a tree.

One male was airlifted from the scene, officials said. The name of the victim or the extent of his injuries have not been released.

The scene was clear around 5 p.m.
