St. Patty’s Cream Cheese Pound Cake w/ Baileys Irish Cream Glaze

St. Patty's Cream Cheese Pound Cake w/ Baileys Irish Cream Glaze

Serves: 8-15 servings

Prep time: 15 min

Cook time: 90 min

Ingredients

 

1/2 pound - Cream cheese

3/4 pound - Butter

3 cup - Sugar, granulated

6 eggs

1/4 tablespoon - Salt

1 1/2 tablespoon - Almond extract

1 tablespoon - Vanilla extract

3 cup - Cake flour, (sifted)

Directions

1) Pre-heat oven to 325°F.

2) In a mixer; cream the butter, sugar and cheese together until the mixture is light and fluffy (about 4-5 minutes)

3) Add salt, vanilla extract. Beat well

4) Add eggs two at a time blending well after each

5) Add ½ tbsp of green food coloring ( Green for St. Patrick's Day)

6) Stir in flour. Don't be vigorous; mix it just enough to incorporate the flour

7) Spoon into a greased and lightly floured pan

7) Bake in preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours

8) Cool for 15-20 minutes, then invert the cake onto a serving dish and remove the pan

 

 

 

Irish Baileys Cream Glaze

Ingredients

1 oz of water

¼ c of granulated sugar

1/4 pint of Baileys Irish Crème liquer

½ tbsp of honey

4 tbsp of unsalted butter

2 tspn of lemon juice

1 cup plus 4 tbsp of whole milk

Directions

Start with water and sugar in medium sauce pot on medium heat

Allow to simmer and bubble for two minutes, add liquer

Cook down for until it bubbles

Add milk, butter and honey

Whisk together and let simmer for 2-3 minutes

Pull from heat and add lemon juice

Serve on cake and enjoy!!
