BOONE, NC (WBTV) -
Two men who police say stole an electronic shopping cart from Walmart have been arrested, according to a report from the Boone Police Department.
At about 4:30 p.m. on February 16, two men entered the store, and both began riding on the electronic shopping carts. When they left, one man parked his cart, and the other kept riding his out of the store and to a vehicle.
There, police said, the men loaded up the cart and drove away.
Authorities asked for the public's assistance in identifying the men from security footage, and received numerous tips which led to the arrest of Branden Jamaal Stevens, 20, and Henry Frederick Nagle, 21.
Both men were arrested, and released on a written promise to appear in court.
The electric cart was recovered.
