A Clover mother was charged last week after deputies say she planned to help her teen daughter find and smoke marijuana.
The incident was reported on Sunday on the 400 block of Elizabeth Valley Lane, according to the report from the York County Sheriff's Office.
Jennifer Lellani Romero, 36, of Clover, is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to the report.
Deputies were called to the home because Romero and her husband Walter had gotten into an argument over the incident.
Walter, who works out of town, was upset when he returned to learn from his 21-year-old son that his wife had decided to facilitate the smoking of marijuana of their daughter, according to the report.
Deputies say the mother and daughter went to a local tennis court to purchase the marijuana, then drove to McDowell Park in Charlotte to smoke it.
The son's girlfriend told deputies that she had heard the daughter and Romero talking about buying some marijuana to bake into a pan of brownies to experience what it's like getting high, according to the report.
The girlfriend thought they were joking and suggested that baking marijuana in the house may be a bad idea because the smell would linger.
The mother admitted to deputies that she bought the marijuana at a nearby tennis court for $10, according to the report.
The daughter told deputies that she had been getting peer pressured at school to try marijuana.
The mom, according to the report, knew about the pressure and would rather her daughter smoke marijuana in her presence instead of being unsupervised.
Romero was served her arrest warrant at the Moss Justice Center.
