Three people were reported injured in a fire at an uptown hotel Wednesday afternoon.
Thursday, Charlotte Fire Investigators said the fire at the Holiday Inn - Center City was accidental, caused by an electrical problem in an occupied room on the 4th floor.
Multiple units responded to the scene at the hotel on North College Street at about 4:10 p.m. Wednesday.
Flames were concentrated on the 4th floor, and a window was busted to allow smoke to vent.
It took 32 minutes to control the flames.
Investigators said three people were hurt; one had to be taken to the hospital. An employee was also treated on the scene for a minor injury, but it's not clear if the employee is one of the three reported injuries.
