LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
A Lincoln County man has been charged with secretly taking photographs of his ex-wife without her knowledge, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
Detectives received a report that Leslie Eugene Mason, 46, of Stanley, allegedly recorded his ex-wife sometime after they separated in June of 2011. In November of 2011, Mason's ex-wife went to his home and downloaded what she thought were family photos from his computer, deputies said.
She kept the disc for over a year but was unable to open it on her computer operating system.
She recently went back to Mason's house to use his computer to retrieve some of the photographs.
That is when she discovered photos of her entering and exiting the shower at her new home, the report states.
The incident was reported on March 1, 2013, and a warrant was issued on March 5, 2013.
Mason was arrested and charged with felony secretly peeping into a room occupied by a female.
He was released on a $5,000 secured bond.
