Police: Duo arrested for jewelry store B&E

SHELBY, NC (WBTV) -

Two people caught on surveillance video breaking into a Shelby jewelry store have been arrested, according to the Shelby Police Department.

The burglary happened Sunday, March 3, at Arnold's Jewelry on South Washington Street.

Officers received a call of a business alarm going off around 10 p.m. Once on scene, they found that the glass to a front door had been broken out, the report states.

After reviewing the store's surveillance video, officers were able to locate the two people they say are responsible, as well as recover several of the items stolen from the business.

Donald Lee Hunter, 44, of Conway, SC, and Tina Lynn Watson, 45, of Gaffney, SC, were arrested. Both were charged with felony breaking and entering, felony larceny, and felony possession of stolen goods.

Hunter was placed under a $20,000 secured bond, and Watson a $50,000 secured bond.
