CATAWBA COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -
Two people were convicted Monday on sex charges involving children, according to the officials.
Terry Lee Taylor, 47, of Conover, and Tia Marie Woodall, 28, of Morganton, pleaded guilty to and were convicted of felony child sex offenses in Catawba County Criminal Superior Court.
Taylor was convicted of felony sex offense by an individual in a parental role, felony crime against nature, and misdemeanor sexual battery. He was sentenced to no less than 65 months and no more than 86 months active in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.
The incident Taylor was convicted of happened in September 2011 in Conover.
Woodall was convicted of two counts of felony first degree rape of a child and was sentenced to no less than 144 months and no more than 185 months.
Officials said Woodall's crime occurred in December of 2010, in the City of Long View.
