Woman turns self in after hit skip accident

GOLF MANOR, OH (FOX19) -

A woman has turned herself into police after allegedly hitting a teenager with her car.

The teen was taken to the hospital after being hit by a car in Golf Manor on Monday morning.

It happened around 8:30 a.m. near the intersection of Losantiville and Fair Oaks.

Police had been looking for a blue Chevy Aveo with damage to the driver's side.

A 62-year-old woman turned herself in to police, but has not been charged. She said she didn't realize she hit someone until she saw it on the news.

The 13-year-old boy was taken to the hospital, but his condition is unknown. Police say he was trying to get on the school bus when he was hit.

Police will release her identity if charges are filed.

The teen's name and condition have not been released.
