The Alice Martin you see at the Simmons YMCA every day now, is a far cry from the woman three years ago.
Then she was using a cane to get around. She couldn't stand up straight. She was in pain and medications to battle her arthritis weren't working.
Then her doctor gave her an unusual prescription. He told her to take classes at the YMCA.
Martin is now heavily involved with the Active Older Adults program which is just as much a program for seniors minds and spirits, as it is for their bodies.
We explored the program on WBTV News Saturday Morning.
