Man convicted of false bomb report at courthouse

LENOIR, NC (WBTV) -

A Lenoir man will spend several months in jail after a false bomb threat at a courthouse.

31-year-old Michael Ellis Presnell was convicted of felony false bomb report in a public building, and felony obstruction of justice.

This stems from an incident August 16, 2012 at the Caldwell County Courthouse in Lenoir.

Presnell was sentenced to no less than 8 months and no more than 19 months in the NC Division of Adult Correction.

WBTV was at the Lenoir Courthouse as this situation unfolded in August. No one was hurt.
