A Lancaster man has been arrested in connection with a string of larcenies in the area, according to the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators told WBTV they received information that Corey Hayden Cook, 36, might be a possible suspect in several larcenies that occurred in the Great Falls Highway area of Lancaster.
They obtained a search warrant for his home on Wednesday, and investigators found stolen property and other items that linked Cook to the crimes, the release states.
Thus far, officials say Cook has been charged with the following:
Malicious Injury to Property $2,000 or less and Petit Larceny $2,000 or less for a larceny that occurred around August 30. Cook is said to have caused damage to the Polar Ice machine on Great Falls Hwy and stole money from the machine.
Malicious Injury to Property more than $2,000 less than $10,000 and Petit Larceny$2,000 or less for a larceny that occurred on December 21, which involved the same Polar Ice machine.
Malicious Injury to Property more than $10,000 and Petit Larceny $2,000 or less for a larceny that occurred around February 13, where Cook is said to have caused damage to the Laser Car Wash on Airport Rd. and stole money from the machine.
Possession of Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - On February 27, investigators located a quantity of cocaine and drug paraphernalia while executing the search warrant at his home.
Cook is currently incarcerated at the Lancaster County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
Lancaster County Sheriff Barry S. Faile said, "We are thankful to have Cook in jail. He has been causing a lot of problems in that area. Our investigators worked really hard to put this case together and I am thankful for that hard work. We are also thankful for those persons who came forward with valuable information that helped this investigation. Job well done."
