Two people were taken to the hospital after an elderly woman got on US 321 in Granite Falls, NC and was going the wrong way.
The accident happened at about 8:30pm on US 321 near Pinewood Road.
The elderly woman was seriously injured in the crash and airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center- Main in Charlotte.
The driver of the car she hit was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Granite Falls police are working to determine how long the elderly woman was driving the wrong way on 321. No names have been released.
