CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Today at West Charlotte High School, the student body got to celebrate a huge accomplishment by one of their own.
Senior center Kennedy Meeks was recognized for being named to the McDonald's All American Team. A game that has featured the likes of Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James to name a few.
Meeks will join 23 other players from around the country for this prestigious game. It will take place April 3rd in Chicago.
The 6 foot 9 Meeks will attend North Carolina next fall to play basketball for the Heels.
