Second man charged in Feb. murder of Charlotte man

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

One man has been charged with murder in an early Monday morning shooting off West Boulevard.

Officers found 28-year-old Reuben Timothy Curry at CMC-Main shortly after the deadly shooting. He was suffering from a gunshot wound, but is expected to be OK.

Curry was interviewed by police and charged.

The victim, 57-year-old Ronny Eugene Steele, was shot at about 1 a.m. Monday in front of a house on Wedgefield Drive. He was rushed to the hospital, where he later died.

Witnesses reported seeing several people run from the scene.

On March 21, police arrested Charlie Edward Snowden, 29, for murder in connection to the case. Snowden was arrested in Florence County, SC.
