Ryan Habich is the new head football coach at Watauga. He comes to Boone from Fuquay-Varina High School.
In his 6 years as head coach at Fuquay-Varina he compiled a 50-14 record and won 4 Tri-Nine Conference titles. They had 4 seasons of 11 wins and one season of 10 wins.
The Pioneers are hoping he can bring that kind of success to the mountains as Watauga has only had 2 ten win seasons since 1999. They have won only 1 conference title during that time.
