Charlotte, NC - (WBTV)
** See attached video for interviews **
The Charlotte Catholic swim team, coached by Brian Gross, recently brought home a state championship ... again.
Sophomore Nora McCullagh won the 3A state meet MVP after finishing first in 4 events.
This team as a whole is carrying on a pretty incredible tradition, the title is the 12th straight for the Lady Cougars.
Nora McCullagh/Cougar Sophomore: "going to meets knowing we kind of have a target on our back, it's kind of exciting to think about"
Maria Sheridan/Cougar Junior: "it's awesome being a part of the team, we kind of have a legacy at Charlotte Catholic. It is so fun to be known as a football school and a swimming school, it's just so fun"
The competition will get stiffer next season, as Charlotte Catholic joins the 4A Class.
