Morehouse downs Albany State

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State was looking for an upset heading into next week's SIAC tournament.

They came close but not close enough.

Morehouse defeated Albany State 53-47 at the HPER Gym Thursday.

The Maroon Tigers improve to 15-2 in the SIAC.

Albany State falls to 5-12 in the conference.

The Albany State teams will close out the regular season Saturday night at Fort Valley State.

The SIAC basketball tournament opens Monday in Atlanta.
