GILBERT, AZ (CBS5) -

Gilbert police have arrested two women accused in a door-to-door magazine sale scheme.

Police said Katrina Glock, 25, and Nicole Odeay, 20, were both arrested at a Phoenix hotel on Thursday night and booked into jail for criminal impersonation.

Glock contacted neighbors Wednesday in the 500 block of Stonebridge Drive. She identified herself as a student at a local high school and stated she was trying to raise money for her softball team to attend a tournament in Hawaii, officers said.

Police said Glock then asked the residents to buy magazine subscriptions for the Wounded Warriors Program.

She also claimed to be the daughter of a police chief or a retired sheriff, investigators said.

Police said Glock had no relationship with local high schools or the Wounded Warrior Project.

Glock asked for monetary donations and on some occasions asked to enter the home to use a phone or bathroom, police said.

Police said they were able to trace the solicitations to her because she leaves a receipt printed with the name of Katrina Glock.

Authorities located her Arizona ID and a photo lineup was conducted. Police obtained her image from a booking photo in Florida, where officers said she conducted a similar scam.

Police believe Odeay was helping Glock scam victims.
