SILVERTON, OH (FOX19) -
The school year is half way
over, but it's the first day of school for hundreds of students at
Silverton Paideia Academy.
After three years of waiting, students walked through
the doors of a brand new school on Thursday morning.
The modern two story school building
houses technology equipped classrooms, and a new gym that can turn into a
community space for after school programs. A medical center staffed with a nurse
practitioner is also a new and unique addition.
The $14 million
construction project is part of the Cincinnati Public school's 10- year
facilities master plan. Since 2002 The District has worked to replace 34
deteriorating schools with new state of the art school buildings .
