This week, two North Carolina men pleaded guilty to Felony Second Degree Kidnapping and Felony Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury.
22-year-old Barry Ronnie Carver of Manson, and 25-year-old Jonathan Lee Bryant of Morganton were convicted. They were each sentenced to 31-47 months in the North Carolina Department of Adult Correction.
The charges stem from an incident in June 2010 while both men were being housed in the Burke Catawba District Confinement Facility.
The men are being taken to Raleigh for processing.
Carver's sentence will not begin for awhile though. He is currently serving out a 173-217 month sentence for an August 2011 conviction of Felony Statutory Rape. The new sentence will begin when he has completed the sentence from his rape conviction.
