The Charlotte Division of the FBI is requesting help from the public to identify two individuals who may have valuable information regarding the identity of a child victim in an ongoing sexual exploitation investigation.
The FBI says investigators believe the men have been in contact with the victim and can help with identification efforts. Charges have not been filed against the men.
Clues gathered from images related to the case lead investigators to believe the individuals may have a connection to the following areas:
New Market, North Carolina
New Market, Iowa
New Market Elementary School, Indiana
New Market Elementary School, Maryland
East New Market, Maryland
New Market, Virginia
New Market Sports Camp, Virginia
New Market Elementary School, Alabama
New Market Elementary School, Tennessee
New Market Township, Minnesota
New Market Township, Ohio
Also visible in some images is a home with what appears to be yellow siding and an above-ground swimming pool. If recognized, it could lead investigators to valuable information about the location of the abused child.
The first individual is described as a white male, between the ages of 25 and 35, with dark hair and glasses. He is being referred to as "John Doe 23".
The second individual investigators are seeking is also a white male, between the ages of 35 and 45, with dark hair. He is referred to as "John Doe 24".
If you have any information about John Doe 23 or John Doe 24, or any other information about this investigation, please contact the Charlotte FBI office at 704.672.6100 or submit a tip online at https://tips.fbi.gov/. You can also call the FBI toll-free tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI.
These individuals are being sought as part of the FBI's Operation Rescue Me and Endangered Child Alert Program (ECAP) initiatives, both of which represent strategic partnerships between the FBI and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Operation Rescue Me focuses on utilizing clues obtained through in-depth image analysis to identify the child victims depicted in child exploitation material, while ECAP seeks national and international media exposure of unknown adults (referred to as John/Jane Doe) who visibly display their faces and/or other distinguishing characteristics in association with child pornography images.
