CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
After meeting for three hours, into early Thursday morning, members of the Charlotte City Council have not yet reached a decision on who will fill the role of city manager.
But WBTV has learned contract talks may be underway with at least one of the finalists, and we might even learn the answer at Monday night's meeting.
Prior to the closed-door meeting, the three finalists for city manager took part in a meet and greet event with constituents at the Government Center Wednesday evening.

The three finalists for Charlotte City Manager are:
Ron Carlee Chief Operating Officer, International City/County Management Association (ICMA)
Ron Carlee has served as the COO for (ICMA) since 2009. Carlee manages day-to-day operations and leads strategy and operational efforts to support local government managers in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to his work with ICMA, Carlee served as the County Manager for Arlington County Virginia from 2001 to 2009.
Ruffin Hall Assistant City Manager, City of Charlotte
Ruffin Hall has served as an Assistant City Manager since 2012. He is responsible for developing policies that guide and manage the growth of the City including planning, transportation, land use, and economic development initiatives. He joined the City in 2001 and was appointed Budget and Evaluation Director in 2002; a position he held until being selected as an Assistant City Manager.
Ronald R. (Ron) Kimble joined the City of Charlotte in 2000 as an Assistant City Manger. He has served as Deputy City Manager since 2007. Kimble is responsible for economic development, redevelopment, hospitality and tourism, and intergovernmental relations for the City. Kimble joined the City of Charlotte in 2000 from Greenville, North Carolina where he served as City Manager for ten years.
