Visitors to Southeast Indiana will hit the tubing hill this week in support of breast cancer research as they seek to raise funds for Tour for the Cure.
Scheduled until Thursday (Feb. 19-21), Perfectly Pink Tubing Days will be held at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg.
Perfectly Pink participants are invited to wear pink to show their support throughout the three-day event. At the end of Perfectly Pink Tubing Days, Perfect North will make a special donation to help benefit Tour for the Cure.
Also new this year is a special $5 off Perfectly Pink Tubing coupon available on www.tourforthecure.info. Participants must print and present the coupon at time of purchase in order to be eligible for the discount.
"Perfectly Pink is a terrific opportunity for our visitors to ‘have fun and give hope' to women in need," said Debbie Smith, Director of the Dearborn County Convention, Visitor & Tourism Bureau, which oversees the Tour for the Cure® initiative. "Since 2008, Tour for the Cure® has raised more than $37,000, all of which goes directly to benefit breast cancer research. It's a good time and a great cause."
One hundred percent of Tour for the Cure donations go to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer, a nonprofit foundation affiliated with Vera Bradley Designs, Inc. that supports various research-based initiatives in the fight for a breast cancer cure.
Tubing times are 1 to 9:30 p.m. each day. The cost is $25 per person for a one-day tubing pass with the $5 coupon.
