Police in Mesa said they're investigating a possible homicide after a man was found dead near University Drive and Gilbert Road.
Mesa police spokesman Steve Berry said a report came in Thursday night of someone who might be hurt, and when officers arrived, they found blood on the sidewalk outside the door and a man dead inside. Berry said the man had obvious trauma to his body. However, police are not releasing the manner of his death at this time. Barry said the incident was near the southeast corner of an apartment complex.
Authorities are looking for possible witnesses.
No other details were immediately released.
