Woman wanted for pain pill armed robbery

Police with the Huntersville Police Department are asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman they say is responsible for an armed robbery at a local pharmacy.

The robbery happened around 8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, at the Walgreens Pharmacy on Gilead Road.

A woman walked into the store, insinuated she had a gun, and demanded pain pills from the pharmacist. She then left the store with the pills, the report states.

The robber was described as a white female wearing a black and white jacket, red shirt, black pants, a black beanie which possibly had a Philadelphia Eagles logo, and boots.

A security camera was able to capture images of the woman entering the store.

Anyone with information about this incident or woman should call Sergeant Gardner at (704)464-5400.
