Thursday at 11PM: Prostitution Investigation

Police have whole squads devoted to it and one of their missions is  to rid the streets of prostitution.

You've seen them; young women and sometimes men on street corners trading sex for cash.

Except now, there's a major change.  Local police say hookers are leaving the streets for a more dangerous environment.  And that's the not the worst of it.

Women and girls, are taking a more desperate and dangerous route to surviving the street trade. They sometimes enter a world that traps them even further.

WBTV's David Spunt investigates this latest evolution of a crime that some say is victimless, but what WBTV has learned is that there are victims everywhere he turned, and one local group out to rescue them.

He'll show you, Thursday at 11PM.
