A Hendersonville man trying to see his child rammed his pickup truck into the county's health building, deputies said.
Henderson County deputies said they were called to 30-year-old Jorge Perez's Boulder Heights home about a domestic dispute Monday about 5:45 p.m. but learned he may have been headed to the Henderson County Department of Social Services building to get inside and to his child.
Deputies said as they arrived, they found Perez's vehicle rammed through the front doors of the Health Department building, which is attached to DSS. Deputies said they arrested Perez before he could gain access to the agency and staff area.
No one was injured during the crash, which caused about $3,000 damage to the building.
He was charged with one count each of injury to real property, resisting, delaying and obstructing a public officer and providing fictitious information to an officer and is being held on $17,000 bond.
