Davidson's experience and dedication is paying off

DAVIDSON, NC (WBTV) -

The Davidson Wildcats have been quietly mowing down the competition in the Southern Conference with a 12-1 record, 17-7 overall, with only six games to go in the regular season.

They're extremely talented featuring four players who have all scored more than 1,000 points in their respective careers; Nik Cochran, Jake Cohen, De'Mon Brooks, and JP Kuhlman. That is absolutely amazing.

Everything is in their favor right now including an eight game winning streak. They put that on the line Thursday night on the road against their toughest conference rival, College of Charleston, a team currently on a six game winning streak.

They would love to run the table the rest of the way through the conference tournament for that precious automatic NCAA tournament bid.

The Wildcats definitely have the experience to get it done, and Coach Bob McKillop says it starts with the Seniors, "they have to play like Seniors, and thankfully our players are playing just that way. They are playing like Seniors, and leaders. It is something that doesn't just happen game time, it happens because of what happens on the practice court. They do their homework and have support from the coaching staff, their investments are paying dividends for them".
