Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools announced Tuesday morning that all 10-month staff members will soon have the option to have their annual salaries spread over 12 months starting with the 2014-2015 school year.
CMS Superintendent Heath Morrison sent a message to employees saying, "Members of our finance, technology and human resources teams have been working diligently to explore the necessary system and process changes needed to support this option."
"As an outcome of this work, I am happy to announce that we're going to offer all certified 10-month staff the option to have their annual salaries spread over 12 months starting in the 2014-2015 school year."
