Robbery detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department arrested two teen accused of robbery.
At about 7:30 p.m. Monday, officers were called to north Charlotte about a robbery.
A pizza deliveryman said he was making a delivery in the 2800 block of Black Walnut Lane when three people approached him. He told officers the suspects knocked him to the ground, and proceeded to kick and punch him repeatedly while trying to steal his car keys.
It's not clear if the victims got away with anything, but they ran off on foot, and the victim called 911.
Police dogs tracked down two teens matching the description given by the victim.
The teens, 14 and 15-year-old males, were taken to CMPD headquarters for questioning.
Investigators said evidence points to the teens being involved in several other robbery cases, including two robberies with a dangerous weapon, one common law robbery, and one attempted common law robbery.
Both teens were arrested and charged with multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy.
One of the teens is in custody at a juvenile facility, the other was released to his parent.
