Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Robbery Detectives arrested four men they believe were involved in two armed robbery cases from February 11.
The first incident occurred at about 1:20 a.m. Monday. Officers responded to the 3300 block of Central Avenue in reference to a robbery. The victim told officers three men jumped him from behind while he was outside, and then got away in a vehicle with his property. Officers were able to get a description of the suspects and the getaway vehicle.
Less than an hour later, officers responded to the 3500 block of Burner Drive, which is just off Central Avenue. The victim there told officers armed suspects approached him while he was walking home and demanded his wallet. He gave them his wallet and says the suspects then fled the scene.
A short time later, an officer located the suspect vehicle. The officer followed the vehicle, and then conducted a traffic stop.
One of the victims was able to identify the men inside that vehicle as the suspects.
21-year-old Marlon Alfredo Maldonado, 18-year-old Juan Ramon Bergamasco, 20-year-old Daniel Dejesus Navarro, and 21-year-old Oscar Omar Trejos are each charged with two counts robbery with a dangerous weapon. They are being held in the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
