A workshop was held Saturday in Charlotte to help men become better dads.
The workshop was sponsored by CMS's "Parent University".
The idea of the workshop was designed to help get fathers more involved with their children as well as at their schools.
Organizers say the dads can have a powerful of presence in their children's lives.
Jeff Coach of "Coach Jeff Enterprises" has a very optimistic take on the program and says, "the more dads are involved in a positive way in their kids' lives, the more good things happen, they tend to stay in school, they have better behavior, able to make friends more effectively."
The "Be There Dad" workshop also takes the dads through an eight step curriculum to help them be more effective parents.
