Many of our jobs require us to be seated all day long in front of a computer.
Then perhaps we go home and sit in front of the TV.
Some studies show if a person sits for more than 6 hours a day, his or her risk of illnesses like diabetes, heart disease and obesity shoot up.
We're also more prone to blood clots, and reductions in our energy and ability to focus.
Dr. Charles Upchurch, an Endocrinologist with Carolinas Healthcare, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the risks and the solutions.
