A Mexican woman was busted at the border Friday. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Nogales Port say the woman was trying to smuggle approximately $232,400 worth of black tar heroin, cocaine and methamphetamine into the United States.
As Reyna Gisela Ramirez-Hernandez, 34, of Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, was driving through the port of entry, her Chevrolet van was selected for an additional inspection.
That's when a CBP narcotics detection canine alerted to the presence of drugs behind the van's dash area.
The drugs and van were seized. Ramirez was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
